Course Outline
A Metal Scaffolder is one who selects, plans, erects, and dismantles tubular system metal scaffold to provide access and working platform for the repair, conversion and construction and other structures in the industry.
The work he/she performs includes the following:
- CE 1. Perform safety checks before, during and after erection and dismantling of scaffolds
- CE 2. Maintain good housekeeping before, during and after erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolds
- CE 3. Prepare scaffolding materials, tools and equipment before erection
- CE 4. Erect and dismantle independent scaffolds, tower scaffold
Learner’s Objective
This course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to perform select, plan, erect, and dismantle tubular system metal scaffold to provide access and working platform for the repair, conversion and construction and other structures in the industry, and to ensure that the scaffolds meet the statutory requirements.

Pre-Requisite
LEARNERS MUST POSSESS:
- Individual SingPass account with valid email address
- Must be certified in Certificate of Competency in Metal Scaffolding - Level 1 PT&R or
- WSQ Perform Metal Scaffolding Work
- Be 18 years old and above and physically fit to perform all the required tasks
LEARNERS ARE ASSUMED TO:
- Have knowledge of common hazards and necessary safety precautions
- Have the ability to read and interpret instructions, diagrams and sketches
- Have knowledge of the methods and skills in the use of common equipment, materials and hand tools appropriate for metal scaffolding work
- Be physically fit to perform all the required tasks
- Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 2
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) level 2
Course Certification
- A Certificate of Competency (CoC) will be awarded to candidates who are assessed as competent
- Tested by approved testers by ITE, tests in line with industry demands
- The CoC in Metal Scaffolding – Level 2 will be granted only upon successful completion of all required assessments
- e-Certificates will be issued to individual candidates via the ITE Step Portal within 6 to 8 weeks after course completion
PAYMENT, REFUND & WITHDRAWAL POLICY
- Full payment is required upon registration
- 100% refund will be provided for cancellations made more than 14 days before course start date
- 50% refund for cancellation/withdrawal less than 14 days if no replacement candidate is provided
- For cancellation/withdrawal with replacement provided, fee waiver will be subjected to ITE Management approval
- No refund will be provided for any cancellation/withdrawal after the course start date unless with valid reason(s) but subjected to ITE Management approval
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Participants are required to bring along their identification documents (NRIC/Work Permit/IPA or Passport) for verification purposes
- Participants are required to bring along their own water bottle and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as hand gloves, goggles, safety shoes and safety helmet
