Course Outline

This comprehensive welding training course covers essential safety, theory, and hands-on practice. Participants will learn modern welding techniques, equipment handling, and workplace safety standards required for certification.

The work covered includes the following:

  • Explain and compare key welding processes and technologies
  • Prepare materials/design welded joints to requirements
  • Identify/understand welding discontinuities and causes
  • Evaluate/select/tailor welding procedures for applications
  • Develop quality-control measures for compliance
  • Apply safe welding practices for preparation/performance
  • Recognize hazards and choose correct PPE

Learner’s Objective

Upon completion of the course, participants will understand welding processes, prepare and inspect welded joints, and apply safe working practices in line with workplace requirements.

Requirements

LEARNERS MUST POSSESS:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Solid understanding of safety risks and precautions.
  • Able to read and apply instructions, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with welding equipment, materials, and tools.

LEARNERS ARE ASSUMED TO:

  • Sufficient physical fitness for practical tasks.
  • English skills at ESS Level 2 or above.
  • Numerical skills at ESS Level 2 or above.
  • Course is conducted in English.

Certification

  • Upon successful completion, trainees receive a Statement of Attainment recognized by industry partners. The certification validates your welding skills and safety knowledge.
